Homemade Cheeseburger

My husband LOVES a good cheeseburger.
I LOVE a homemade cheeseburger.

Sometimes I make the buns and they are sooo delish. Not today, today I bought these buns from the Publix bakery. That's what happens when there are three crazy littles running around the house. You have to find shortcuts.

My burgers are always cheeseburgers. always.
I just add salt, pepper, and minced garlic,
form into patties and cook to desired doneness. (med rare please!)

and lots of toppings are a necessity.
That's the difference between a burger and an
"oh-my-garwsh-babe-that-cheeseburger-was-so-gosh-darn-good!" burger.
TRUST ME.

Beautiful sliced tomato, onion, and lettuce are a must.
Some sliced avocado is always good too.

Plate it up with some sweet potato fries,
and a nice salad topped with strawberries, slivered almonds and a drizzle of poppyseed dressing. mmmm.
Good to go!

Wanna Be Chipotle Rice Bowl

I  am obsessed with Chipotle rice bowls. obsessed.
So naturally I found a way to recreate this at home.
Super simple. and so delish.

Make your rice, add in a splash of lime juice and a little bit of chopped cilantro, now you have cilantro lime rice.

Choose your favorite toppings, I like to use
steak (chicken is good too)
black beans
corn
diced tomatoes
salsa
jack cheese (mozzarella works just fine)
lettuce
guacamole

Layer your rice, meat/beans, and toppings in a bowl and you are set!
